In China, “Feng Qing Yun Dan风轻云淡” is used to describe a beautiful day with high, blue skies and light, white clouds that are slowly carried by a breath of wind. This expression is also associated with a state of mind full of lightness and leisure. You daydream and just do… nothing, at least for a few moments. And that is exactly what I did when I stood in the Mongolian steppe the year before last. It was beautiful and I was full of “quiet joy”. When I saw this design when selecting the design for our silk collection, this expression and the associated feeling automatically came to mind. It quickly became apparent that some of our customers probably felt the same… When it comes to the perception of beauty, language is sometimes superfluous.
